Healthy Eating?

I am the WORST when it comes to attempting to eat healthy. I LOVE my fruits and vegetables and honestly anything that is more healthy but I also have a love for all things unhealthy! HA! I have learned I will probably never change my ways of eating BUT I have taught myself to eat much smaller portions. Most poeple do not realize it, but it takes your body 20 minutes to actually realize it's full. So I have learned to get smaller amounts and eat slower! I really need to get on and find some easy healthy meals for myself. All those close to me know I am not that great of a cook... Baking, I got you... You want me to cook a full blown meal HA... sorry. I also found that substituting certain condiments and using Avocado! Say what?! Im so trying it, love me some Avocado! But my goal is really to just plain out eat better! I do have some amazing friends who have shared some amazing meals with me! They are really my support team and do not even know it! I would love for anyone to share what helps you eat better?

Starting Piyo!

So as soon as it comes in the mail (tracking says 1/21) I will be dedicating a little time of each day to Piyo! This is my first actual program in my life!  I'm happy with my weight, but not with my low energy level most days! We are slowly working to make a lives healthier little by little! I'm getting so pumped to start all of this! Any advice on saying money and still eating healthy?  Or what's the best time you find during the day to workout?

Update : My Piyo got stolen, so now I'm waiting on my new one to get here. .. what a hell of a bad weekend!

Family of 3..... maybe 4?

I've gone back in forth in my own thoughts pretty much everyday about whether or not to give "Bug" a sibling. On one side he will always have a playmate, someone to talk to and someone to look up to him. But on the other hand what if they never get along, I won't be able to put as much into getting him into the school of his dreams because we have to make sure we don't push one and not the sibling. Time split, making sure everything is even and so on. Sounds selfish but this is seriously what goes through this crazy head! I'm already 31 and have always said once I hit 36, we're done for sure. So truthfully I have 5 years to think, BUT I also don't want more than a 3-4 year age gap..... Does anyone else do this to themselves?! I really would love some honest, truthful, straight forward opinions on 1 vs 2 kids. BUT I can say we will have no more than 2!

My take on needs for Baby for First time Momma's

As of November 24th,2013 I became a first time mom. I had no idea what I was doing! Even after 5 nieces and nephews, I was lost. Now that Blake is 1+Years old, Ive come to terms with what I actually used with him and what items are just not needed(in my opinion). Links to everything I love down below.

Clothes:
  • Sleepers, Sleepers, Sleepers! Those cute little outfits are nice for holidays and all that but honestly It was just so much easier to have him in his sleepers if we were home or going for a short family visit!
  • All brands seem to be so varied in size. He can wear anything from 12 month size up to 24 month depending on the brand!
Diapering:
  • I really like the diaper caddy I purchased myself. It is a space save and holds a few days worth of diapers plus extras slots for things like Q-tips, rash cream, Meds, etc.
  • Have a diaper party and/or a diaper raffle at the baby shower! It helps sooo much and saves you tons!
  • Personally I recommend Pampers. Luvs leaked for us. Huggies didnt hold #2's all that well. And Target brand was bad for both. Once he gets older it may be better to go with one of these. But for now I sticking with Pampers for less mess clean up!
  • Wipe warmers: I think it's a waste of money. Our place is kept at a good temp, so his wipes are room temp anyways. If someone got me one, I might have used it. But I would not spend the money myself.
  • Diaper Pal: More waste! Plastic store bags work just as well to close up to cover up the really sticky smells. If it's real bad, walk your butt outside!
Random Large Items:

  • Bouncer. We have the Fisher Price Snug-a-Monkey. It seems larger than the new version that is out. Thank goodness because Blake is in the 90th+ percentile for height! But we wouldnt know what to do without it. He loved it since the day he came home! Lots of naps in it!
  • Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair. LOVE IT! We live in an apartment, which is a great size. But if we have gotten just a regular high chair it would be in the way all the time!
  • Bright Starts Bounce Bounce Baby. Great Price, Great Entertainment, and good quality. And #1 Easy to clean!

And that's just a short review of things that were must haves for myself! More to come! <3
